DELIVERY FORM

In-mould labelling (IML) is a technique for permanent product labelling and decoration that is used in thermoforming and injection moulding. Pre-printed films, such as our stripcal® IML, are inserted into the injection mould and bond with the liquid plastic during injection. This enables a single-stage manufacturing process.

IML offers a wide range of visual and tactile effects using different films, such as smooth, rough, matt or glossy. IML films enable high-resolution images on your products.

In addition to films, decals are also used as a product labelling or decoration solution in the in-mould process. Decals such as our impressal®-IM are particularly suitable for foaming processes and are resistant to mechanical stress.

  • stripcal®-IML

stripcal®-IML is used to decorate items manufactured using injection moulding.

During the manufacturing process, our product bonds completely with the base material of the end product.

This creates an excellent bond between the decoration and the end product, eliminating the need for subsequent decoration.

  • impressal®-IM

impressal®-IM has been specially developed for back foaming of in-mould decorations.

As with stripcal®-IML, impressal®-IM is applied directly to the mould, eliminating the need for subsequent decoration of the end product.

  • PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

The surface that is to be decorated must be dry and free of grease, dirt and release agents.

Loose surface particles or oxidation layers reduce durability.

In-mold always has a project character.

We would be happy to accompany you on this journey and test our various products to find the best bond for your plastic parts.
