DELIVERY METHODS

In-mold labeling (IML) is a technique for permanent product labeling and decoration that is used in thermoforming and injection molding. Pre-printed films, such as our stripcal®-IML PP/PP, are inserted into the injection mold and bond with the liquid plastic during injection. This enables a single-stage manufacturing process.

IML offers a wide range of visual and tactile effects using different films, such as smooth, rough, matt, or glossy. PP films enable high-resolution printing.

In addition to films, decals are also used as the starting material for product labeling or decoration in the in-mold process. Decals such as impressal®-IMP are also suitable for foaming processes and are resistant to mechanical stress.

  • SCOPE OF APPLICATION - stripcal®-IML PP/PP

stripcal®-IML is used to decorate items manufactured using an injection molding process.

During the manufacturing process, our product quality bonds completely with the base material of the end product.

This creates an excellent bond between the decoration and the end product, eliminating the need for further decoration.

  • SCOPE OF APPLICATION - impressal®-IMP

impressal®-IMP has been developed for back foaming in in-mold decoration.

As with stripcal®-IML, impressal®-IMP is applied directly to the mold, eliminating the need for subsequent decoration of the end product.

  • PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

The surface to be decorated must be dry and free of grease, dirt, and release agents.

Loose surface particles or oxidation layers reduce durability.

In-mold always has a project character.

We would be happy to accompany you on this journey and test our various product qualities to find the best bond for your plastic parts.
